March is almost towards the end and it has been a busy quarter for all of us here at CryptoBLK, with continuing efforts for onboarding support to our InsurTech solution MIDAS and our ever-ongoing development of enterprise consortium Blockchain application Atlas, and more. In this month, our management team joined an interview from the leading publication Automobile and Blockchain Asset Review, as well as joined in several community meetups to share CryptoBLK’s company vision and DLT innovations.
4 Mar – Automobile Interview
Since the launch of MIDAS, we have continued with the onboarding of insurance companies and furthered our support to the integration works carried out with our collaborators. This month, our CTO Andrew Hon, together with the Chairman of Hong Kong Federation of Insurers‘ (HKFI) Accident Insurance Association, Philip Kwan, were interviewed by Automobile (《車主》雜誌) about the MIDAS innovation which applies cryptographic hash-based message authentication code technology to data records which have the minimum amount of information required for authenticating a motor insurance document without storing Personal Identifiable Information on the DLT system.
8 Mar – Deloitte Blockchain Applications in Business World 2019
Our CEO Dr. Duncan Wong introduced consortium Blockchain trade finance applications and DLT solutions during the panel of FinTech Use Cases in Industries at Deloitte Hong Kong office in the Blockchain Applications in Business World event jointly organized by AICPA, CIMA and Deloitte on March 8.

27 Mar – CryptoBLK Showcased DLT innovations to HSBC’s Global Delegate Team
CryptoBLK is thrilled to have the chance to introduce our company’s vision and mission to HSBC’s global team during their visit to HKSTP (Hong Kong Science and Technology Park). Our team presented not only the DLT ecosystem and landscape, but the latest DLT innovations offered by CryptoBLK including trade finance solution ATLAS, the documentation authentication solution MIDAS, and the asset valuation and management solution TOPAZ. The team has received positive feedback from HSBC’s delegates, and are currently exploring further adoption opportunities of DLT in the banking industry.
27 Mar – InnoXchange by HKSTP
Our CBO Lei Xiao presented CryptoBLK’s philosophy during a meetup with the technopreneurs from the companies at HKSTP during InnoXchange on March 27. In the interactive exchange, Ms Xiao introduced real-world DLT adoption for business and shared some case studies based on our works in the Blockchain in trade finance and document authentication and its production prerequisites session. The workshop facilitated the exchange of new ideas and insights into new areas, opening opportunities for CryptoBLK and other potential collaborators.
28 Mar – CryptoBLK Co-hosted FinTech Tour for Kasikornbank’s Delegates, Showcasing Latest DLT R&D to the Representatives
CryptoBLK co-hosted a FinTech showcase together with HKSTP for Thailand’s leading commercial bank, Kasikornbank’s (KBank) delegates, showcasing the company’s latest DLT R&D solutions and technologies including the trade finance consortium platform ATLAS, the property valuation solution TOPAZ, the motor insurance documents authentication platform MIDAS and the cryptocurrency platform Abelian. KBank delegates commended Hong Kong’s technology ecosystem and the enormous potential market connecting to Mainland China, as well as CryptoBLK’s DLT innovations.
28 Mar – Blockchain Use Case Sharing at City University of Hong Kong
Our CEO Dr. Duncan Wong spoke on a lecture on security technologies and introduced Blockchain technology and its use cases to students at the City University of Hong Kong. The students were very enthusiastic to the technologies and showed great interest in the applications of Blockchain to the real world.
