Jointly developed by CryptoBLK and HKFI, MIDAS is Asia’s first industry-wide production-grade DLT-based motor insurance system to fight motor insurance fraud. Leveraging cryptographic technologies and Blockchain system, MIDAS facilitates the Hong Kong transport department, police force, insurance companies, sub-agents, and all car owners for real-time authentication of the insurance documents of vehicles in Hong Kong. To protect car owners’ privacy, no personally identifiable information is stored on the ledger. CryptoBLK together with HKFI launched MIDAS in last December.
